When you newly got the phone you presently use; One of the criteria you looked out for was the phone storage, how many gigabyte (GB) it had. This was important to you because of the many documents, pictures and videos you would have to save.
When you get offended by someone, a friend, colleague or even individuals you don’t know.
What do you do? How often do you forgive? How quickly do you let go?
How much can you take?
If your total phone storage is presently 6GB and you are at 5.9GB and you need to take a video. You likely wouldn’t be able to do that. Your phone signals (Not enough phone storage, DELETE SOME FILES).
The next thing you do is to browse through your phone and search for files you consider not necessary, pictures you think you don’t need anymore, or screenshots that aren’t necessary, some music files that are less useful and you delete them.
Phew! Now you can take a new video….
You can’t let any good thing in until you let the unnecessary stuffs out.
You have to let go of the hurts, offenses (is it easy? No but it becomes easier with LOVE); without letting go you wouldn’t have space for the right things in your heart.
But the truth is you have “infinity GB”. I know it’s not a thing but permit me to use it.
You have capacity, you can forgive more, you can love that person better, you have more strength than you think, you can give more, you can believe more, you can trust more. I can go on and on.
There is a point you get to, you feel like, you’re done or you’ve had it. At that point, try to be calm and depending on that situation, always remember you have enough space, you have control over the decisions you make.
Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you’ve got, be resolute, and love without stopping.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 MSG
Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:31-32 MSG
In conclusion, forgive regardless; whether the offender admits to the wrong or not. You will actually feel lighter and realize later that unforgiveness is such a heavy burden. So please help yourself unload the negative elements.
